I am a registered counsellor with New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) and a named ACC service provider. I moved to NZ from the UK in 2005 and have two adult children. After receiving counselling myself many years ago I went on to study a Bachelor of Applied Counselling at Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) and am passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for individuals navigating life's challenges.

I am an integrative counsellor drawing on psychoanalytic, person-centred, and attachment-based approaches, interwoven with grounding, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and interoceptive awareness. I incorporate trauma-focused modalities such as Somatic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Interactive Drawing Therapy, and TF-CBT to support regulation, resilience, and post-traumatic growth.

I am experienced working with rangatahi and adult survivors of sexual abuse, CPTSD, depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal ideation, relationship struggles, substance use, identity issues, and developmental trauma. I bring skill in working with neurodivergent clientele, informed by both formal training and my own lived experience of ADHD. This enables me to connect with authenticity, advocate effectively, and if indicated, guide clients towards assessments for ADHD and ASD with other professionals.

I believe in honouring client's unique story and capacity for healing, approaching counselling with humility, cultural awareness, and a deep commitment to mana-enhancing practice.

Due to limited availability, I am only working with adults and young people aged 16+.

Pricing

Sessions are 50 minutes in duration and cost $130.
